Kevin, manager of Samui Exotic Park on Koh Samui, has learned from his mother that an arson attack has struck the family home in France after weeks of threats linked to the animal park dispute.
The Franco-Thai couple Sai and Kevin have been subjected to intense harassment for several weeks. It all began at the end of July 2026 with an incident involving an Israeli restaurateur from Bangrak, who threatened them after a Palestinian flag was displayed on a wall of their animal park located in Mae Nam, on Koh Samui.
The matter then escalated with the involvement of pro-Israeli activists very active on social media, generating a campaign of mass negative reviews, insults and death threats (including one offering 500,000 baht). Kevin has published screenshots of hundreds of hostile messages received daily.
A filmed altercation with an Israeli family refused entry further amplified the tensions. Thai authorities have opened an investigation and visited the site to support the couple.
This morning, a social media post reported a new episode: Kevin learned from his mother that an arson attack had been carried out at his parents' house in France (in the Lyon region).
No one was injured and his family is fine. French forensic police inspected the crime scene; preliminary findings indicate a probable Molotov cocktail attack. Surveillance footage is reportedly being examined in an effort to identify the arsonist or arsonists.
On local social media, numerous comments express outrage at the escalation, call for unity and urge the authorities to intervene. The Thai investigation continues while the controversy continues to stir communities on the island.
