The "Impatient Thais" collective delivered a letter on Monday to the Israeli embassy requesting that Israeli tourists and residents respect Thai laws, customs and culture, amid multiple complaints.
The civic group "Impatient Thais" has formally called on the Israeli embassy in Thailand to encourage its nationals, both tourists and residents, to respect Thai laws, customs and culture. This request follows numerous complaints of intimidation, harassment and commercial disputes involving Israeli nationals in popular tourist areas.
Akkarawut Kraisrisombat, president of Impatient Thais and representative of the group's civic network, delivered the letter on Monday 24 August 2026 to the Israeli embassy offices in Bangkok, accompanied by people affected by these incidents.

According to the collective, Israeli tourists and residents have allegedly intimidated and harassed Thai locals, local tourists and traders in Phuket, Surat Thani province (notably Koh Samui and Koh Phangan), as well as in Pai district (Mae Hong Son province). The complaints also involve social, commercial and property conflicts, raising concerns among local communities and drawing sharp criticism in Thai society.

In its letter, "Impatient Thais" makes three main requests of the embassy:
- Firstly, to raise awareness among Israeli tourists and residents of the need to comply with Thai laws, social norms, traditions and local culture, in order to maintain good relations with communities.
- Secondly, to cooperate fully with Thai authorities to establish the facts when Israeli nationals are accused of offences, to openly condemn inappropriate behaviour, insults or disregard for the law, and to refrain from defending those who have broken the law or the rights of Thai citizens.
- Thirdly, to maintain constructive dialogue with the Thai people in order to resolve issues peacefully before they affect international relations.
The group hopes the embassy will help preserve friendly relations between the Thai and Israeli peoples.
