Thai authorities deported an Israeli national on Tuesday whose behaviour was deemed contrary to public order, in accordance with a decision by the Interior Minister.

On 23 September, at 16:05, immigration services escorted Mr Jacob Ohayon to Bangkok airport. The Israeli national boarded El Al Israel Airlines flight LY84 bound for Tel Aviv, thus ending his stay in Thailand.

This deportation was ordered by the Interior Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, under Article 5 of the 1956 Expulsion Act. The authorities considered that the individual’s behaviour undermined public tranquillity and morality.

The competent services executed the measure without incident. Mr Jacob Ohayon left Thai territory within the allotted time and returned to his country of origin.
