Emails from the Epstein files show that Daniel Siad, a photographer and friend of Jean-Luc Brunel, was organising shoots with young Eastern European models in Koh Samui.
As part of the ongoing revelations about the network of Jeffrey Epstein, new emails extracted from the declassified files shed light on the activities of Daniel Siad, a Swedish photographer close to Jean-Luc Brunel, the French modelling agent linked to Epstein and accused of sex trafficking before his suicide in prison in 2022.
Siad, who presented himself as a fashion industry professional since 1984, sent messages from Thailand where he was organising photo shoots with young models, often from Eastern Europe.
On 22 December 2009, he sent an email to Epstein confirming his presence in Thailand:
« Hello Jeffrey, I am in Thailand in Bangkok for a few days, then I will go to Koh Samui. I will be working there during the holidays; this company is hiring me to work with a foreign guest when they do shoots and so on, so I will be with some high-end models, I will send you the photos. »
He attached a link to a security services website, indicating a work context with foreign guests and models.
Two days later, on 24 December 2009, Siad described in a new exchange with Epstein a young woman he had met in Koh Samui whom he wished to place with Brunel:
« As I told you last time, I am here in Koh Samui with XXXXXXXX please click on the link, let me know what you think, she will come to the United States, I could place her with Jean-Luc in Miami because she is already with Next in NY, she is from Slovakia. »
Epstein replied: « Check her passport to find her age? » This direct question about age, implying verification via the passport, is particularly alarming in the context of the accusations of trafficking minors brought against Epstein’s network.

On 1 January 2010, Siad wrote from Koh Samui to Brunel:
« Happy New Year from Koh Samui… I have a few models I would like to send from mid-January, including Elsa from Sweden. Let me know if we can proceed. »
Although Epstein does not appear to have visited Koh Samui, sources indicate that he spent time in Bangkok and Phuket with his friend Brunel, sharing moments of « leisure ».
These connections illustrate the international reach of the network, linking Thailand to the United States through intermediaries such as Siad and Brunel. No formal charges have been brought against Siad, but these exchanges fuel investigations into practices in the modelling industry and sex trafficking.
