A 23-year-old Czech influencer and MMA fighter known as Mina died on 17 March after her scooter collided with a truck on Koh Samui, on her way to a Muay Thai training session.

The victim was identified as Dominika Elischerova, aged 23 and followed by approximately 387,000 followers on Instagram. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the accident in Surat Thani province, Thailand.

A teammate, Samir Margina, who witnessed the collision, described her critical condition. He told CNN Prima that the young woman's heart had stopped several times and that she had slipped into a coma.

« Mina's heart failed three times, now for the fourth time », he said, adding that she was in a « really critical state » and calling for prayers. He was the first to arrive on the scene and says he offered money to encourage the staff to do everything possible.

Later, Margina criticised the hospital's response, alleging according to The Sun that the medical staff were laughing during the resuscitation attempts. After her death, he posted a tribute on Instagram, thanking Mina for the wonderful moments they shared and sharing a photo of him holding her hand.

A friend, influencer Adelka Soukupova, also paid tribute, writing:

« Goodbye, sister. You will always remain my big sister to whom I could confide at any time. I love you. »

A spokesperson for the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs told local media that Elischerova had died despite immediate rescue efforts, before further treatment could be administered.

Dominika Elischerova documented her life and training in Thailand for a large online audience. She had previously taken part in the Czech MMA TV show « Clash of the Stars ».
