On 30 April 2026 at 10:20, the rescue centre of Koh Phangan was alerted by police after a man fell from a high cliff in the Thong Nai Pan area. Rescuers discovered the lifeless body of a Burmese man aged 30 to 40 lying face down on a rock.

The alert was transmitted via the police network. Rescue teams immediately headed to the scene and confirmed the victim’s death.

The body was recovered by boat and then transported for autopsy to Phangan 2. The authorities have not yet released the precise identity or the exact circumstances of the fall.

The rescue centre thanked all members of the teams mobilised for this delicate mission.
