Facing tourism growth, the Provincial Electricity Authority is strengthening Koh Samui’s electrical system with over 300 agents.
The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) is stepping up its efforts to modernise the electricity network on Koh Samui. More than three hundred technicians from Southern Zone 2 have been deployed to improve supply reliability and support the island’s economic development.
The teams are replacing overhead lines and insulators, as well as inspecting equipment across the entire area. In total, 92 kilometres of circuits are involved in these works, which aim to reduce outages and ensure a stable supply for both residents and tourists.
This operation reflects the PEA’s desire to have a modern and efficient network capable of meeting the continuous increase in demand, particularly in the hospitality and tourism services sectors.
