A video circulating on Facebook shows a young police officer driving aggressively inside the Koh Samui police station on Thursday evening, damaging vehicles. Authorities have been urged to investigate.
A video shared on social media shows a young sub-inspector driving a vehicle inside a residential building linked to the Koh Samui police station in Lipa Noi, in Surat Thani province. According to the post, the incident is said to have taken place on the evening of 24 September 2026:
In the footage, the officer appears to deliberately ram several parked vehicles belonging to colleagues. A man wearing an orange t-shirt is also seen in the sequence and narrowly avoids being hit. No official information has yet confirmed the officer’s precise identity or the exact circumstances of the incident.
The original post calls on the police commander of Surat Thani and the head of the Koh Samui police station to launch an investigation. Numerous comments beneath the post speculate on possible motives: alcohol or drug consumption, internal conflict linked to interests, work-related stress or even video game influence. Some users question the lack of immediate intervention by other officers present at the scene.
At this stage, no official police statement has been issued to confirm or deny the facts, nor to clarify whether anyone was injured or if any proceedings have been initiated. The video has sparked numerous reactions online, mixing outrage, irony and calls for transparency.
The case, so far limited to social media, raises questions about internal discipline within certain police stations on the island.
