In Pattaya, a 39-year-old British national was seriously injured by a knife in an apartment following a violent altercation with a young transgender woman.

The incident took place on 28 September in an apartment on Khao Talo Road in the Nong Prue district of Pattaya. Alerted around midday, officers from the Nong Prue police station found Anotai, a 22-year-old transgender woman, injured on the hand and in tears. A long knife lay beside her.

Inside the bedroom, paramedics found Scott (Philip) Lummis, a 39-year-old British man, lying in a pool of blood. He had multiple stab wounds, including to the left shoulder, right arm and abdomen. His condition was judged critical.

Investigators also discovered around 100 grams of methamphetamine packaged in bags, along with drug paraphernalia. Signs of a struggle were visible in the room.

« The British man accused me of stealing his drugs. He forced me to take a shower and wash my hair to check I was not hiding anything. Then he held me and assaulted me for a long time, Anotai told police. »

According to the young woman’s account, a fight then broke out, during which she seized the knife to defend herself and injured the man. In shock, she went downstairs to seek help.

The authorities placed both injured parties in custody pending a thorough interrogation. Police are currently examining CCTV footage and physical evidence to establish the exact circumstances and determine the origin of the seized drugs.
