In the night of 6 October, three men forced their way into an upmarket residence in Nong Prue and stole cash, luxury watches and cryptocurrencies worth a total of nearly 30 million baht.
The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. in a villa in the upmarket district of Nong Prue, in the Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. Three individuals climbed over a fence using a ladder before heading to the owner’s bedroom, a foreign national.
Armed with pistols, the intruders threatened the victim, forced him to open the safe and took approximately 150,000 baht in cash as well as three Rolex watches. They then forced the transfer of cryptocurrencies worth approximately 820,000 dollars, or around 27 million baht.
The victim managed to escape and alerted the Nong Prue police. Investigators from the 2nd Regional Police Bureau, led by Major General Wasant Techakhrakasem, were quickly deployed to the scene.

Initial evidence suggests that the suspects may be Chinese nationals. The police have contacted the Immigration Office and forensic police services to analyse the traces and verify the cross-border movements of the wanted individuals.
