Jacob Ohayon, an Israeli restaurateur on Koh Samui who sparked tensions around the Samui Exotic Park, has been convicted for death threats and violence against owners Jindarat and Kevin.
The Samui Exotic Park case, located in Mae Nam on Koh Samui, originated from a conflict that erupted at the end of July 2026. After a Palestinian flag was displayed on a wall of the establishment managed by Jindarat (Sai) and her French husband Kevin, an Israeli restaurateur on the island, identified as Jacob Ohayon, threatened the couple with death and physical harm.
Ms Jindarat went to the police station to file a complaint. The Koh Samui police forces, in coordination with the district administration and immigration services, quickly located and arrested the suspect. The case was referred to the Koh Samui provincial court, which sentenced him to a fine of 5,000 baht with a two-year suspended sentence.

The authorities reminded everyone that all actions must strictly comply with the legal framework. The Koh Samui police commander deployed officers to set up checkpoints in front of the park. In addition, the 500,000-baht reward offer published on social media will be the subject of a thorough investigation.
This conviction comes after several weeks of intense harassment, negative review campaigns and threats against the Franco-Thai couple, including an arson attack on their parents’ home in Lyon, France. It is hoped that this will ease tensions on the island.
